I do however, I a new found passion for the blog as I have found people have been profiting from its use. This makes me very happy - so please, if you are reading, using, thinking about, or critiquing what I post on this space LET ME KNOW!
- Did you make some quick cash off a call - thank me
- Did something I say inspire you to start your own portfolio or diversify and expand a current one - tell me how excited you are
- Do you think I am naive and ignorant as to the real inner workings of equities - Speak your mind
- Am I straight up stupid and leading people the wrong way into huge loses - Post your critiques - Let us know what you think and why.
Tired of finance and Wall Street BS? - Post something cool you learned! - Last night I learned that radioactive elements were and are a significant source of core earth heating and that the reason we still have tectonic plate action still over liquid magma [as opposed to cooling down and stopping - all life with it - like mars] is because of the energy added by these elements. More so in the past with the quicker half life elements [but not to worry there are still plenty of radioactive elements keeping us warm - for now]. I also learned that Sir Calvin underestimated the age of the earth because he was not aware of this factor adding heat to our planets core. Additionally, a buddy of mine is presenting a thesis arguing that not only does plate movement impact climate [i.e. plates pushing together create mountains which then make wind and a place for clouds to form and rain and snow etc.], but climate impacts plate movement! For his [Kyle] masters he is going to Oregon to talk about how in places like Chili where plates are pushing [the same plates we have up here] the greater rainfall they get pushes more moisture down into the soil which loosens up the soil and lubes up the rigid plates allowing them to slide. This, he argues, is why Chili has so many more earth quakes than, say, Southern or Northern California [Which has the same to plates pushing up against each other but with much less rainfall]. - Cool stuff right? Thanks Kyle.
I would love for this to become a place of discussion and shared knowledge. We can only benefit from the sharing of knowledge or opinions [and I'm a big boy tell me I overlooked something or am being short sighted, I would love to know my faults better]. Just don't blame me for anything you lose [No one should place bets - yes they are bets - based off what I say here. This should be an initial point from which your research begins], and thus, do not give me full credit for any money made [this is your risk, your moves, and your money - you deserved what you got from it]. Just share is all I ask [not the money of course- unless you want to go sailing for a day, then we can talk :)].
Also subscribe if you wouldn't mind. I know everyone just trying to get subscribers or viewers or whatever to measure popularity but it really inspires me to research harder and put the extra effort into posting what I think and creating this forum for the exchange of ideas.
Tell your friends too, maybe they don't invest but want to start; maybe they are just interested in what its like or how it works; maybe they will become an intimate part of our tangents like the whole tectonic plate stuff I just posted. Either way, the more people who subscribe, read, and especially post = the harder I will work to get great information and share it will all of you to talk about. And hopefully, the richer we all become so that we can pursue whatever ends it is we are employing these means for.
Back to the books for me,
Have a great Sunday and don't forget - COMMENT!
What do you think? Is my new hair cut stupid? Is sailing the best thing ever? Is sailing the second best thing ever [second only the Sailing - with a capital 'S'?]
You confidant and eager thought processor,

p.s. careful with tech - I'm currently looking for a strength to sell into [except for Apple, I'll hold her in my arms forever]. And energy is H-O-T, HOT! Check out APA for my top choice [waiting for a slight pull back to buy at a bargain, but I've already missed out on 4% gains so I may have to suck it up and jump in anyhow - but I'll see if patients pays off first]. Also, looking for a good Japan reconstruction play [which APA fits into btw]? Check out CAT, they're gna need to buy a lot of machines to rebuild with and if CAT moves out of state [I think they are in Illinois or near] they will get a huge Tax break. I haven't check back in but I think they also made a bold acquisition that I'm hoping wall street thought looked negative so I can score a deal [between you and me though, Caterpillar has a solid history of acquiring appealingly risking companies and turning out unforeseeable profits from them]
Take care, and let me know if you made any moves.
